I'm really into fashion and I love the way that Chanel's marketing strategies appeal well to both young and old consumers. | Qualifications | Final year on a BA Hons degree in English Language and Literature. | Why did you do an internship? | The main reason for taking on this internship was that I really wanted a head start over my peers. As I have not yet finished at university, I want to have already had a taste of the marketing industry and an idea of the typical office environment before the end of my degree. Securing this internship with the help of Inspiring Interns has made me feel ready for life post uni! | What does your internship involve? | I am currently the Marketing Assistant for a professional social networking company. My role is to monitor the progress of the brand via online programmes, suggest new and innovative ways of online marketing, write articles for the company blog and help the marketing team keep the brand interactive using channels such as Facebook and Twitter. | Your favourite part of your internship? | I get to work on my favourite websites all day! | Any advice for future interns? | Make the most of it. Work hard, learn as many new skills as you can and get to know your colleagues well - they're an immediate source for building your contacts list for the future. | Describe yourself in three words | Hard-working, stylish, optimistic. | | | | | | | | | | | Prepare for university places chaos, admissions chief warns More than 200,000 university applicants will fail to get places this year, the head of the admissions service has warned, in a repeat of last summer's chaotic scramble following the publication of A-level results. A "carbon copy" of last year's confusion, when 210,000 people did not get places, is inevitable, especially with record interest from teenagers ahead of increasing tuition fees next year, according to the University and College Admissions Service (Ucas).
